Early Bird Registration – Any time before April 15^th

TEE BALL / JUNIOR BALL (ages 6 to 8 )

This season, we are going back to our grass roots and following the Little League Canada guidelines to teaching the game at a young age through Tee Ball.  The Tee Ball program is a training process by which youngsters can learn, develop and practice fundamental baseball skills at an early age and receive maximum enjoyment from the experience. The young player benefits in several ways hitting the ball from a prescribed tee. The youngster has the opportunity to develop hand-eye coordination and swing technique without fear of being hit by a pitched ball, and the defensive team is allowed more opportunities to develop fundamental fielding skills. Youngsters will learn to play and enjoy baseball through good instruction and participation experience in Tee Ball.

The learning experience must be fun coupled with developing fundamental skills of hitting, throwing, fielding and running. The basic concept should be total team participation in a congenial environment under the direction of concerned and competent adults. Remember, the value of the Tee Ball program is the learning experience. Participants in Tee Ball are in a critical developmental period. This decision will without a doubt make our Minor and Major Little League divisions stronger 

MINOR BASEBALL (ages 9 and 10)

In Minor baseball, the athletes will have to opportunity to experience the game at a different level.  The games are played on a field of regular Little League Baseball dimensions.  The emphasis at this level still remains to teach the skills and techniques of the game all while adding some baseball knowledge.  The Little League baseball rules are taught more than the previous levels that help develop the tactical part of the players’ game.

At the Minor level, the athletes also have the chance to try out for the Minor Lynx.  The Lynx is an all-star program that competes at the Minor Provincial level late in the summer.

Rule changes for our house league program this year

1-      First three (3) innings, the batter will face a pitching machine which will deliver a perfect pitch to the batter.  This will help improve the batters hand-eye coordination and will develop more, and better hitting into play for the defensive team.

2-      The final two or three (2-3) inning will be a normal pitcher to help develop young pitching arms for our athletes

3-      All innings (with pitching machine and with a pitcher) will consist of three (3) outs.

4-      All defensive positioning (with pitching machine and with a pitcher) will remain the same as regular baseball.

5-      All other Little League baseball rule will be in effect.

As the season progresses, the pitching machine will slowly be eliminated and the game will be played with young pitchers on the mound.

MAJOR BASEBALL (age 11 to 12)

In Major baseball, the athletes play a regular baseball game.  All Little League baseball rule will be in effect.

At the Major level, the athletes also have the chance to try out for the Major Lynx.  The Lynx is an all-star program that competes at the Major Provincial level late in the summer.
